Articles and resources are provided by third-party organisations and are available in Chinese only.

The Speech Therapy Service Section of the Education Bureau has developed an online resource on enhancing the “Communication of students with Hearing Impairment by facilitating their Language and Literacy development” (CHILL) which aims to assist school-based speech therapists, teachers and other school professionals in evaluating the language and communication needs of students with hearing impairment in a comprehensive manner, and formulating support plans to facilitate their language and literacy development and enhance their overall communication abilities. This resource includes a set of needs assessment tools, including the “Student Background Information Form”, “Speech Perception Screening Test”, “Receptive and Expressive Language Abilities Record Form”, “Social Communication and Pragmatic Skills Profile”, and “Needs Assessment Summary”. School supporting personnel can make reference to the examples of support strategies and sample cases studies in this resource, and work together through inter-disciplinary collaboration to provide students with appropriate school-based support.
